Children
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children an average of 2,185 children are reported missing every day in the United States. The U.S. Department of Justice recorded 797,500 such reports for the last year studied. A large percentage of that alarming number are due to poor child identification techniques utilized by parents. Relying on a child’s memory to recall vital information simply isn’t enough, and that method is useless if the child is unable to respond. iD can be easily attached to a child’s backpack, beltloop, zipper-pull, or tied into their shoelaces to provide immediate information when needed.

Adults
At the scene of an accident, time is critical. Having identification, emergency contact, and medical information readily available for emergency personnel is imperative. iD offers adults a method of providing this in a small, portable, convenient way. iD can be attached to an adult’s keyring, worn on any article of clothing, or stored in a purse or glove box. And iD is very affordable, which enables each adult to have several devices, each of them where/when needed in case of emergency. According to the National Center for Missing Adults, there are currently 47,842 active missing adult cases.

Seniors

  • 25% of Americans have health-care needs that emergency personnel need to be aware of.
  • Over 100 million emergency room visits are made each year, and 1 in 5 persons have visited an emergency room in the past.
  • Adverse drug reactions is the the 4th largest killer in hospitals.
  • Medical mistakes are the 8th largest killer in the U.S. and cost over 100,000 lives each year. iD can provide seniors with crucial medical information that is readily available when needed. DNR and Living Will documents can be stored on the device in their entirety.

Special Needs
Many individuals are not fully prepared at understanding and/or interacting in today’s fast-paced society. Mentally and physically hadicapped individuals, as well as those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease can now provide critical information about themselves in a form that is instantly recognized and easily accessed with any modern computer. iD can be attached to an individual’s wheelchair, worn on any article of clothing, or worn as a necklace. Critical information such as Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders, Living Wills, or other medical files can be loaded onto the device for easy retrieval.

Athletes
Sports enthusiasts rarely carry a wallet or purse, and therefore are unable to provide the type of critical information needed when injured. iD can easily be stored in a cyclist’s saddle bag, a hiker’s backpack, or a skier’s pocket. In addition, iD can be easily modified to increase its chances of saving a life when used by those engaging in water sports.
